FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How will I know that you have received and processed my order ?
    You will receive a confirmation email notification (between 1–3 working days) showing a summary of your order details once we have processed your order. Please make sure you have provided us an accurate email address. We will send you subsequent email(s) to the same email address when your order is ready to ship, ships or any order related information.
  • Can I still cancel my order after order confirmation ?
    Due to the bespoke nature of many of our products, we cannot allow cancellation after the order has been confirmed. Any cancelations must be done before you receive our Confirmation email notification. Please email us at info@galerieavantgarde.com with your order number if you wish to cancel the order.
  • How long will it take to receive my order ?
    The total time taken to process your order varies depending on your item type. For custom items, estimated delivery is approximately 12–16 weeks. This time includes the material allocation, time to build and construct your item, packaging, shipping and transit to distribution center, and transit to your delivery address. In the case of custom items, you will be notified once your order is shipped out from the manufacturing facility with the estimated arrival date at our distribution center.
  • Do you have any items in stock for immediate delivery ?
    Some items, including many items within our Antique and Vintage collection, are in stock and available for immediate shipment. Others are stocked within our US warehouse which could add an additional 2–4 weeks to the estimated delivery time. In the event an item is out of stock in our US warehouse, please allow 8–12 weeks to receive the shipment from overseas.
  • How accurate is your delivery date ?
    Shipping your items on time is extremely important to us and we do our best to provide the estimated arrival date. In the event of any delays due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be notified of the revised delivery date.
  • Can I exchange my item for a different model ?
    We do not offer exchanges. You may order a new item and return an item that you’ve received. Refer to the Return Policy in the Terms and Conditions. Payment for the new item would be taken at the time of the order. A refund for the returned item will not be processed until we confirm that the item(s) have been collected back in good condition. All returns are subject to a restocking fee.
  • What happens if my order has arrived but I can't accept delivery ?
    We can occasionally honor requests to hold the order for free up to 10 calendar days after it is complete. After 10 days, storage fees may apply. Please contact us for a quote if you need us to hold your order beyond 10 calendar days.
  • Why are there variants in the color, carvings of my furniture ?"
    Many of our items are handmade, hand-crafted by artisans, and finishings are applied by hand. Wood grains, veneers, marbles and mosaics may also vary in their patterns, veins, colors due to the nature of the material. Such distinctions are not construed as flaws but contribute to the unique character of each individual piece. This handmade quality is what makes our items unique in a world of mass-produced conformity.
  • Will your delivery team help to take away my old furniture ?
    We recommend that you have your area cleared before your new furniture arrives. The delivery team will not remove any of your existing/old furniture from your premise and will not be available to move any of your existing furniture due to liability concerns.
  • Do you provide a warranty for your furniture ?
    Galerie Avant-Garde does not have specific warranties but we stand behind our products. Please be sure to inspect your products before our delivery team leave the premises. In the event you do not inspect your product upon delivery, it is deemed that you have received the product(s) in good condition and hence any complaints thereafter will not be honored. In the event that you observe significant damage to the product’s outer packaging, and, upon opening, find damages to such, please reject the shipment and have the carrier return it to us.
  • How will I know if my furniture will fit through my door ?
    We highly recommend that you check and measure your space, stairways and doors to ensure the furniture can fit, before purchasing or arranging delivery so as to ensure a smooth delivery process.
  • Can your delivery team help me to install mirrors, frames and lightings I have ordered to my wall ?"
    Our white-glove delivery service does not include carpentry work such as drilling to walls, hacking, install hangers/screws to walls due to liability concerns. Upon request, the delivery service may perform unpacking and simple assembly work like attaching legs to the table, connecting the sectional sofas, etc. Always seek a qualified trade professional for proper installation according to the local code requirements.
  • Are all of your products shown online ?
    No. We showcase online a small fraction of what we are able to offer you. If you have any specific requests, please contact us and we can see what we are able to do for you. We are constantly bringing in new and exciting products and working with new partners, which ensures that each visit to Galerie Avant-Garde is a unique shopping experience.
  • How can I view products in person before making a purchase ?
    Please contact us. We can possibly help locate retailers close to you that carry comparable products from the same manufacturer. Because many of our products are sourced overseas, unfortunately we are not always able to accommodate such requests.
